As Molly so eloquently said last week, the transition from her editorship to mine has officially transferred as of today. She has prepared me well to take over the reins of Lake Minnetonka and I’ll be indebted to her for a long time for passing along such a high quality publication.
So, let me introduce myself a little more: I come from a magazine and editing background, but I’ve spent the last few years in nonprofit communications and marketing. I’m a homegrown Minnesotan so I embrace the humid days of summer by relaxing by the lake and tolerate the long winters by curling up with a book or an episode of "A Prairie Home Companion" (gotta love Garrison Keillor’s cadence!).
I’m also incredibly excited to get to know communities of Lake Minnetonka more. The parks and trails, the local businesses, the friendly people – it’s all part of our great community. And, that’s why I need you. Reach out. Say hi. Send me your thoughts on the magazine. Email me your story ideas. Let me know when something exciting is happening in your area. Because that’s what I think Lake Minnetonka Magazine is about: sharing our stories and connecting with each other.
You can always reach me at email@example.com. Or if you’re a little more social media savvy, reach out on Facebook or Twitter. It’s great to virtually meet you and I can’t wait to hear your story!
