Minnetonka Community Education presents the 10th Annual Tour
de Tonka bike ride, taking place on Saturday, August 1. Riders of all ages and
from across the country will get a chance to take in the beauty of the Lake
Minnetonka area and nearby communities. In 2014 there were over 3,100 riders
from 20 states. The event is fun, highly organized and the highlight of the
summer for hundreds of riders and volunteers alike. A portion of each rider's fee is donated to ICA Foodshelf (www.icafoodshelf.org).
This event is geared towards kids and their families, with options for children and adults of all ages: The Tonka Mud Run, a Mini-Tonka Mud Run for younger children, and a Just for Fun category that’s appropriate for any athletic ability.
You don’t need to travel too far west for a good ‘ol fashioned hoedown. On Saturday, October 10, Hold Your Horses will present “Hay There 2015.” Come early for your favorite farm fun and then get hoofin’ at the second annual Hay There Barn Dance with a live band and legendary BBQ from Famous Dave’s! So bring the whole family for an evening of entertainment in support of the therapy services at Hold Your Horses.
A delightful evening that starts with a cocktail hour and bidding on Exciting Experiences, and moves on to dinner, a live auction, and the sharing of a personal story by an ICOP client. KARE 11 sports anchor Eric Perkins will keep everyone entertained as guest emcee.
Enjoy the Lake Minnetonka view and a chance to see rare and historically significant automobiles and watercraft. This family friendly event also includes a luxury retail village, art display, food, live music and much more. A portion of ticket sales will go directly to ICA Food Shelf to support our neighbors in need.
Simon Says Give®, an Eagan-based nonprofit with the mission of Kids Celebrating Kids®, is proud to present in partnership with the Woodbury YMCA Youth Group a Hollywood Meets Bollywood Dance. Mandi Simon the founder of Simon Says Give is one of 25 GlobeChangers across the nation recognized by the Jefferson Awards Foundation in 2015.
Travel back in time for an elegant afternoon on the shores of Lake Minnetonka. Boat and car collectors display more than 150 juried historical vehicles. With local food, live music, shopping and historic downtown Excelsior nearby, it could easily be a full day of adventure. The best part? All proceeds benefit the ICA Food shelf.
