Liz Banfield Visitors to the Lowry Nature Center Aug. 27 helped send butterflies off on the journey of a lifetime. Attendees caught and tagged monarchs before they left for their long flight to Mexico. It was a chance to see the creatures up close and personal in different stages of life, and everyone took home a colorful butterfly chart as a memento.
