Well-known Minnetonka veterinary clinic, Village Animal Hospital, has been serving lake-area residents and their furry friends since 1968. When original owners Dr. John Hotvet and his wife Sandy opened VAH’s doors, they intended to create a trusted practice where owners knew their pets could receive high-quality care.
After nearly 40 years, the Hotvets passed along their legacy to another duo who would put as much passion into the clinic. In 2007, Dr. Matt Lindberg and his wife, Angie, bought VAH, and have been operating it for the last seven years with one philosophy: “To make John and Sandy proud,” says Angie. “We consider it a second-generation, family-run business.”
From shots to surgery, VAH provides most of the services that pets need, but, says Angie, it’s the “above-and-beyond customer service and personal care” that makes it stand out. Client Robbin Julien agrees. “Matt and the team at Village are so personable and attentive. They put the same care and place the same priority on our dog Buddy as they would their own. We wouldn’t think of taking him anywhere else!”
Although Village Animal Hospital stays true to its core values, it’s decidedly up-to-date: a new computer system, digital X-rays and social media accounts keep the practice current so the staff can provide the best care possible for Fido and Fluffy.
