This Wine Has an Everyday Price-point, but Doesn’t Taste Like It

Aviary Cabernet Sauvignon is just $15.99, and would be a great contender in a blind tasting.

For March, I’ve chosen a wine that is great for the everyday price-point, but one I think punches above its weight class. Aviary Cabernet Sauvignon, though it’s labeled “California,” boasts fruit from Napa, Sonoma and the central coast. It’s not a huge oak bomb either, with just enough to give it some depth. This wine has fresh acidity, is medium- to full-bodied with flavors of cherry, plum, toasty vanilla and cedar notes, and smooth tannins. There are a lot of options when you’re hunting for a great everyday wine. Aviary Cabernet Sauvignon is just $15.99, and would be a great contender in a blind tasting.
