For the Kids
AARP Minnesota will be hosting the Fifth Annual Movie Night at the Ballpark at St. Paul’s CHS Field on August 1st, where we will be screening A League of Their Own (rated PG). Moviegoers can take in the event in the stands or they can bring a blanket to enjoy the movie from the outfield of the park. The event is free to movie-lovers of any age, family-friendly and inclusive to all, and a fantastic way to connect to the richness and heart of St. Paul.
Unleash your cold blooded side and marvel at reptiles such as snakes, lizards, turtles, frogs, chameleons, geckos, dragons and more. Gawk at small exotic mammals, such as sugar gliders, and hedgehogs or browse through various animal vendors for the latest food, cages and toys for your next pet.
The historic lakeside village of Excelsior draws art enthusiasts from across the Minneapolis/St. Paul area with its unique shops, galleries and restaurants.
Excelsior Art on the Lake provides an inspiring experience for both the artist and the public. Local musicians will entertain and regional food vendors will be onsite throughout the two-day event.
West-metro area children ages 2-5 are invited to this free, fun, interactive spring event on Saturday, May 18 from 9:00–11:00 am at Our Savior Lutheran Church and School, in Excelsior.
Kids will be able to get up-close to adorable baby farm animals, enjoy pony rides, games, popcorn and balloons.
If your child wants to grow up to be a veterinarian, this 3-hour program can set them down the right path. They’ll learn about surgery skills using a pretend patient, how to recognize common illnesses and what it’s like to work at a shelter. Kids grades 3-6.
Sunday, May 12 is Mother’s Day! Treat mom to an outdoor concert the whole family will enjoy. This FREE concert takes place, rain or shine, on the lawn of St. Therese school.
Kids from around the west-metro area are invited to join in the fun as the annual Community Easter Egg Hunt hosted by Our Savior Lutheran Church & School takes place in the Excelsior Commons, in Excelsior.
Minnetonka Center for the Arts is excited to offer quality arts education for kids ages 5-15 through our Summer Arts Camp program. Registration opens mid-February, and camps run June 10 through August 23, with full and half day camps in a wide variety of visual arts programming:
