Cider Fest

Help make fresh apple cider using Minnetonka Orchard’s antique cider press from the old days. Bring buckets for the apples they’ll be pressing and you can make some hard cider at home. Long Lake Area Art Show

Come to the fifth annual fine arts event with more than 40 vendors, featuring local and regional artists. Laura Ingalls Adventures Camp

Kids can relive the simpler days of Laura Ingalls Wilder’s time witha day full of reading stories from Wilder’s books and participating in the activities she describes. This includes making bread and butter, learning jigs, sewing, weaving and other pioneer activities. Excelsior Girls Night Out: Danc'n in the Street

This fun dance event for all ages features dance performances, dance lessons, costume contest (with prizes) and the opportunity to participate in a flash mob dance. No dance shoes or dance experience required to join in the fun!

Get Out and Grow! 5K Fun Run

The Get Out and Grow 5K Fun Run will be a run through the great outdoors encourages families to exercise together, builds physical fitness and promotes well-being and team spirit.

Following the 5K Fun Run, stay for the 9th Annual Fall Festival from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

The 5K Fun Run is open to all ages and abilities, including young children.

All minors must be accompanied by an adult.

No dogs or bikes allowed.

Excelsior Crazy Days

For the summer’s best bargains, shop local in Excelsior at the annual Crazy Days weekend. The weekend begins with the farmers market and Girls’ Night Out on Thursday evening, and continues with deals and events throughout the weekend. Fourth of July

For years, Excelsior and other lake communities have been coming together to celebrate the national holiday. The Fourth of July takes off at 8 a.m. at Excelsior Elementary School and ends in the Excelsior Commons with a fun run and 5K/10K hosted by Steele Fitness. The fun run is just the beginning; it’s followed by a sand sculpture contest, the Water Street parade, a fishing contest, an air show, live music and food. At dusk, view Lake Minnetonka’s spectacular firework show by land at the Excelsior Commons or by boat on Excelsior Bay.
