Earn your stripes and join the Minnesota Zoo for their annual Tiger Tracks 5K to raise money for wildlife conservation. The race starts at the Shady Oaks Picnic area and follows a course through the zoo on outdoor trails. Registered participants will receive free admission to the zoo on the event day and a commemorative t-shirt. Strollers are welcome.

Cyclists of all ages turn out in droves for the popular Tour de Tonka ride this month. You can choose from among eight courses, with distances that range from 16 to 100 miles. At the rest stops along the way, check out snacks, live music and conversation. The routes take cyclists through 24 west-metro communities, showcasing our gorgeous farms, lakes and trails. And the best part? A portion of registration fees go to the ICA Food Shelf to help end hunger in the west metro; remaining proceeds support Minnetonka Community Education’s various youth and early-childhood programming.
