This exciting day features a number of activities for a fabulous day at the polo fields. Activities include excellent polo promenade\, a three bar jump off\, grooms race\, hat parade\, divot stomp\, champagne toast\, food trucks\, over one hundred million dollars in classic and exotic cars and the championship polo match.

SUMMARY:July 4th "Revolutionary" Flying Pancake Breakfast
DESCRIPTION:Guests will “catch ’em if they can” pancakes tossed from the grill. This lakeside breakfast includes pancakes\, sausage\, coffee\, and a cold drink. Breakfast is $9.00 (cash or checks only) at the door. USA Veterans eat free. At 10 am\, a short ceremony and flag raising including a rifle salute will be conducted. \nThe 7th Pennsylvania Regiment of Revolutionary actors will tell tales and interact with guests as they demonstrate the loading and firing of their powder muskets! Sons of the American Revolution Color Guard and the Daughters of the American Revolution will return along with Period Costumed Actors to entertain Patriots of all Ages! \nThe Lake Minnetonka Society of the Children of the American Revolution (C.A.R.) first held this breakfast 17 years ago\, and are pleased to continue this annual community tradition\, which fulfills their motto: ‘Patriotism in Action’.   C.A.R. DESCRIPTION:Kick off the summer with the opening week of the Wayzata Farmers Market. \nWe’ll have a vast array of products and vendors this year with newness every week. Check Facebook and Instagram for weekly vendors and entertainment. For those that haven’t been\, we are located in the Promenade off Main Street in downtown Wayzata (across from the Landing Hotel at 850 Lake St. N.). Our market runs every Thursday from 1:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m. June 1 through September. \nAsparagus and rhubarb will be in full swing with our produce vendors along with so many other fresh goodies. Tom Savre – Wildsongs and the String Beans Band will be playing live music on the lawn too. We look forward to seeing everyone!

There will be live music by Chris Kelly Live\, a taco bar\, large silent auction\, games\, cash bar and more. The foundation is hoping to reach their goal of $220\,000 by July 31 in order to break ground on October 1\, 2023.

DESCRIPTION:Celebrate the art of four regional Indigenous artists showing their work in the Arboretum’s Reedy Gallery at a special celebration for “Visions from the Land: Native Interpretations\,” an exhibit that runs through March 26. Each artist — James Autio\, Gordon Coons\, Anna Johnson and Ivy Vainio — uses a different technique or process to produce captivating art inspired by the natural world. \nDuring the celebration\, enjoy: \n\nLight hor’s d’oeuvres and beverages from Pow Wow Grounds\, which specializes in Indigenous cuisines.\nTours of the Reedy Gallery with the artists throughout the day.\nA Meet & Greet with artist Ramona Morrow\, recognized nationally for her beadwork\, jewelry and cattail dolls.\nAt noon: A panel discussion with the Indigenous artists facilitated by Wendy DePaolis\, the Arboretum’s Curator of Art and Sculpture.\nAt 1 and 2 p.m.: The art of Native American storytelling in the round with noted storyteller Hope Flanagan.\n\nAdvance registration is required for this event\, which includes admission to the Arboretum. Cost is $15 for ages 16 and older\, and free for members and ages 15 and younger. \nIndigenous peoples receive waived general daily admission to the Arboretum when making a reservation by calling 612-301-6775.
