“… this is one of my favorite areas to photograph …”
The Wayzata Yacht Club on Lake Minnetonka serves as the striking backdrop for Boats and Rainbows, which was taken by Cat Parker and placed first in the City Landmarks category of our annual Lens on Lake Minnetonka photo contest.
Taken around 5 p.m., Parker used a Nikon D850 with a Tamron 70-200mm 2.8 Lens, and utilized Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.
“Being that this is one of my favorite areas to photograph often, I am always drawn to this area,” Parker says. “The photo I took that day caught my eye as all the boats were lined up just like they were waiting for their owners to come back for the next day to go out on the water and enjoy the day.”
