“Just Try It” With the Wayzata Yacht Club

The Wayzata Yacht Club is a sailboat racing club … except for one day a year.

This is our only event that is free and open to any adult who wants to get out on a sailboat, even if you don’t want to race.

Guests will have an opportunity to:

• Learn a few practical sailing basic in a “hands-on” cruising atmosphere, without a classroom or lecture setting.
• Hoist and trim sails (at the skipper’s discretion).
• Be at the helm of the boat (at the skipper’s discretion).
• Help set the pace based on their comfort level and the skipper’s discretion.

You must RSVP and sign a liability waiver. Ages 18 plus only due to liability. See you on the water!
