Minnetonka High School Jazz Bands Presents: Tonka Swings 2025

Tonka Swings is the annual jazz event performed by the Minnetonka High School Jazz bands and organized by the Minnetonka Band Boosters. This event is more than just a jazz concert; it is a night of swing dancing to some great music performed by some of the most talented student musicians in the metro area.

Now in its third successful year, Tonka Swings showcases three outstanding jazz bands performing an exciting repertoire of jazz standards and contemporary pieces. The musical program will feature several guest musicians, offering students the valuable experience of collaborating with professionals. This event provides these talented young musicians with the opportunity to perform in an elegant, real-world venue for an enthusiastic audience. For those who enjoy moving to the rhythm, there’s plenty of space for dancing throughout the evening.

New this year: In addition to your ticket, you can support the Minnetonka band program with a contribution to our Challenge Match.
