The Barn Cats

The Barn Cats are a Twin Cities-based instrumental jazz quintet featuring the vocal stylings of Robyn Chargo. They focus on small-combo jazz standards from the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s—the golden age of jazz. In addition to a few originals, they cover artists such as Charlie Parker, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Cannonball Adderley, Paul Desmond, Dave Brubeck, Duke Ellington and Sonny Rollins. Their vocal tunes cover a broader array of artists including Julie London, Ella Fitzgerald, Peggy Lee, Billy Holiday and Diana Krall.
