Wayzata Musicales Presents Gypsy Mania Quartet

Wayzata Musicales third concert of the season will feature the spirited musical stylings of the Gypsy Mania Quartet at 7 p.m. on April 5. This concert will be held at the intimate Blue Water Theatre in Wayzata.

This concert will run approximately 75 minutes with no intermission.

The Gypsy Mania Hot Club Quartet, performs a timeless jazz tradition commonly known as Gypsy Jazz, a blend of traditional Roma music and swing jazz. Originating in Paris in the early 1930s, the Hot Club jazz tradition brings back happy memories of the swing jazz era, with a unique French twist. Performing together for over 16 years, this quartet’s music keeps audience members on the edge (or out!) of their chairs with their formidable improvisational prowess and exceptional stylistic dimension. A group not to be missed. Django Reinhardt’s spirit will be in the house.
