Two new eateries will be housed above Parlour on Water Street.
The restaurant group Jester Concepts announced exciting news for foodies in the Lake Minnetonka community. Two new restaurants are set to open this summer in the same building as mainstay Parlour, which is housed in the lower level.
“From the moment we stepped into this space, we knew it had the potential for something special,” says Brent Frederick, owner of Jester Concepts. “Bringing three distinct concepts together in one location felt like the perfect way to maximize the space and give Excelsior a dining experience unlike anything else in the area.”
Shiki is a noodle bar whose menu draws from Japanese-inspired cuisine with highlights including dumplings and ramen. The intimate 30-seat spot is outfitted with bold colors, dramatic graphics and raw materials, lending the space an exciting, late-night vibe. Lunch and dinner are available daily alongside take-out and delivery options.
Mirabelle takes its inspiration from coastal living and offers up a menu of supper club classics, including starters like popovers and shrimp cocktail and mains, including fish, pasta, salad and steak. Nightly specials include traditional comfort fare, such as lasagna, meatloaf, prime rib and Friday fish fry.
A central bar is the heart of this 2,700-foot space and sets the tone with ornate wood detailing and intimate seating for up to 18 guests. Throughout the space, historic details, including the original cast iron fireplace work alongside vintage décor and vibrant textiles to create a cozy ambiance. Mirabelle will serve dinner nightly as well as weekend brunch.
