A Hockey Game

Art and athletics collide to create this winning entry.

“I love how photography gives me the opportunity to connect with my friends and make new ones, too,” says Lucas Brama, who took this winning image.

“I think, for me, it’s the rough texture of the ice that draws my eye to this photo,” he says. “It’s really a contrast from the usual pristine, smooth ice that we’re accustomed to seeing from the stands.”

The Minnetonka resident recommends that those interested in photography, “… find the beauty in the mundane. Anything can become a great photograph. It’s all a matter of perspective, so look for that unique viewpoint that nobody has ever seen before. That is sure to produce a true work of art.”
