Minnetonka presents its annual entertainment series.
The City of Minnetonka hosts the Music in the Park series with free, family friendly-events from 6:30–8 p.m. Tuesdays through August 29 at Civic Center Park’s outdoor amphitheater, 14600 Minnetonka Blvd.
- August 1: Start the month with Jeff Dayton, the former leader of the Glen Campbell Band.
- August 8: The River City Jazz Orchestra will bring its big band classics to the amphitheater.
- August 15: Sawyer’s Dream will hit the stage with its Americana/pop/folk vibe with splendid vocal harmonies.
- August 22: Groove to the tune of the nine-part Latin salsa group Salsa del Soul.
- August 29: The Dirty Shorts Brass Band closes out the series with its New Orleans-style jazz performance.

Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile, part of the Movies in the Park event, will be shown at 8:15 p.m. (or 15 minutes after sunset) on August 31 at Civic Center Park, 14600 Minnetonka Blvd. Future movies are set for September 8 with Puss in Boots: the Last Wish and September 15 with Minions: The Rise of Gru.
