The new noodle bar is introducing a taste of Tokyo to Water Street.
Shiki noodle bar opened today, joining burger joint Parlour at 200 Water St. in what will soon be a trio of restaurants with the addition of Mirabelle in July.
“It’s all about slurping ramen, sipping bright cocktails and soaking in the buzz,” says Brent Frederick, owner of restaurant group Jester Concepts. “Whether you’re grabbing a seat at the bar or a bowl of noodles to-go, the vibe is pure fun.”
Local foodies can expect homemade dumplings, ramen and a variety of sharable snacks served up in a high-energy, 30-seat spot. The craft cocktail menu, developed by Earl Giles, playfully riffs on Shiki’s Asian-inspired offerings (Ramen Old Fashioned, anyone?).
