Tree of Life Mosaic

A mother’s love is the foundation to our existence. They feed our souls, nurture us and offer safety in the storms. They point us in the right direction and celebrate who we become.

The Redleaf Center for Family Healing at Hennepin County Medical Center, Minneapolis, offers multigenerational mental health, parenting and mind-body-spirit support for individuals during pregnancy and parenting of young children (redleaffamilyhealing.org), and it holds an empathetic place in my heart.

Each journey is different, but learning how to plant the right seeds will grow mighty trees. Mosaic artist Stacia Goodman reminds of this as she incorporates affirmations into her glass and tile mosaic that greets visitors to the center. She incorporated bronzed baby shoes, the top of a bracelet and many more sentimental items to make this installation extra special.

To all the mom’s who nourish our souls to become who we are, Happy Mother’s Day!
