The celebration honoring James J. Hill brings three days of music, markets and community.

From September 11–13, the Wayzata West Metro Chamber will host its 52nd annual James J. Hill Days. “It’s a shared tradition that blends history, local pride and meaningful connections across generations,” says Brooke Beyer, the chamber’s festivals and marketing director.

Chamber president Judy Johnson says, “From the parade and street market to live music and local favorites, it transforms downtown into a vibrant, walkable space where community and connections come to life.”

Over 100 chamber volunteers and local sponsors support the event, including Lake Minnetonka Magazine as a silver sponsor.

Friday through Sunday, there are countless activities for attendees of all ages, including a carnival, live music, a street market and a variety of food and drink. Friday night will feature a craft beer festival, Saturday includes a dachshund race and Sunday brings doggy olympics, a thunder airshow and the parade.
