Wayzata restaurant is set to refresh its menu and space for an approachable atmosphere.
The downtown eatery is set to reopen its doors September 4 after a four-day refresh that will usher in its next chapter. “We have always believed the best restaurants belong to their communities,” says the Bar Eloise team, via a press release. “Over the last few months, we’ve listened closely to our guests, and one message came through clearly: They love the food and the spirit of Eloise, but they want a place that feels easier to drop into, more casual and more connected to the neighborhood.”
To that end, Bar Eloise’s menu will continue to focus on seasonal ingredients as it becomes less formal and broadens its family-friendly options. With culinary inspiration taken from sister restaurant The Grocers Table next door, the updated food options include handhelds, hearty mains and shareable plates. The cocktail program will continue to play a key role in the dining experience while also welcoming new additions. Fan favorite entrées and desserts will carry over to the new menu.
The changes also include an interior refresh, starting with the addition of high-top tables, more seating and TVs in the bar to accommodate casual and spur-of-the-moment gatherings. A large front window that opens onto Broadway Avenue allows diners to enjoy the hustle-and-bustle of the busy street outside while remaining comfortably at their table. A larger portion of the restaurant will also be available for walk-in guests, with most of the newly expanded patio reserved for those stopping by without a reservation.
And Bar Eloise is just getting started. Sunday brunch will welcome diners from 9 a.m.–2 p.m., starting September 20 with a menu that features a lineup inspired by popular bites at The Grocer’s Table.
