Dedicated to bringing the community together, The Arc Minnesota will honor individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities at its annual gala on March 7. This year’s mission is to magnify the Fund-A-Need program in supporting accessible sports and recreational equipment. “Recreation is an important part of a full and healthy life,” says The Arc Minnesota’s CEO Naveh Eldar. “With community support, we can expand access to adaptive equipment that opens doors to connection, movement and joy.”
Microgrants, supported by Fund-A-Need, will work to erase barriers to participation in leisure activities, recreational activities and sports by funding equipment, such as adaptive bikes and gaming controllers.
Attendees will be treated to live jazz music, a cocktail reception, dinner and live and silent auctions. The evening is expected to be filled with connection and celebration—a hallmark of the gala.
The event is set to take place at the Renaissance Minneapolis Hotel, The Depot from 6 to 10 p.m. on March 7, and tickets are available to purchase now and until February 18.
