An Excelsior Family Creates Their Own Clothing Line

Inspired by Minnesota and specifically Lake Minnetonka, Erin Martin, owner of Martin’s Boutique in Excelsior, and her husband Mike founded North Shore Apparel MN, a business selling garments like hats, shirts and baby clothes with Minnesota state outlines and woodsy color palettes.

The brand is sold at Martin’s and is fittingly named after the spot where Erin and Mike got engaged as well as the places they both grew up.

Each design is hand-sketched by Mike, and since one of their priorities is selling Minnesota-made products, they work with a local printer.

North Shore has done custom hats for multiple fire departments and others who want something unique. This summer, they’ll launch a new batch of designs at local festivals in the Excelsior area.
