The two new eateries are neighbors, offering distinct eats on Water Street.

This summer has been a lively time for new restaurant launches in downtown Excelsior, and the menu keeps expanding. Classic American dinner spot Mirabelle is set to open July 28, joining sister restaurants Shiki and Parlour on the corner of Water and Second streets, followed by Sicilian concept Vagabondo, opening across the road on August 4.

Chef David Fhima embarks on a return to his familial roots with a new restaurant that features bold Mediterranean flavors inspired by the home-cooked meals of his Sicilian grandmother, Sultana. The multi-level restaurant includes two patios and a view of Lake Minnetonka. Diners can expect warm hospitality, an interior inspired by the Sicilian Coast and a lineup of handmade pastas and fresh seafood.
