The two new eateries are neighbors, offering distinct eats on Water Street.
This summer has been a lively time for new restaurant launches in downtown Excelsior, and the menu keeps expanding. Classic American dinner spot Mirabelle is set to open July 28, joining sister restaurants Shiki and Parlour on the corner of Water and Second streets, followed by Sicilian concept Vagabondo, opening across the road on August 4.
Mirabelle

The American neighborhood restaurant by Jester Concepts is set to serve up cozy comfort food and upscale entrées alongside a cocktail list populated by nostalgic Midwest favorites. Diners can expect a coastal interior style and supper club-inspired bites like crab-stuffed walleye, meatloaf, shaved prime rib salad and smoked trout dip.
Vagabondo

Chef David Fhima embarks on a return to his familial roots with a new restaurant that features bold Mediterranean flavors inspired by the home-cooked meals of his Sicilian grandmother, Sultana. The multi-level restaurant includes two patios and a view of Lake Minnetonka. Diners can expect warm hospitality, an interior inspired by the Sicilian Coast and a lineup of handmade pastas and fresh seafood.
