Photographer joins local firefighters as they visit block parties around town.
On the evening of August 5, photographer Jim Douglas accompanied firefighters and the Ladder 11 firetruck for numerous stops during Shorewood’s annual Night to Unite event. Excelsior firefighters Mark Glodoski, Emily Hart, Bob Michels and Scott Nelson passed out firefighter helmets to young block party attendees. “By far, this was likely the largest turnout that included four dogs and approximately 50 residents on Muirfield Circle in Shorewood,” Douglas says.
