E is for Excelsior!

Join author Amanda Pesek on Indie Bookstore Day to learn more about her new alphabet book.

Excelsior local Amanda Pesek was in Seaside, Florida, when she came across a cute alphabet book featuring the vacation town. She found herself thinking, “Excelsior is a cute town … I could write an alphabet book!” and, two years later, her spark of inspiration became fully realized.

E is for Excelsior! visits well-known stops around Excelsior. From Adele’s to Excelsior Bay Books, the Commons and pit stops around Lake Minnetonka, the children’s book celebrates all things Excelsior.

Illustrator Annmarie Wedin is also an art teacher at Minnetonka High School.

On April 29, Pesek will be at Excelsior Bay Books at 1 p.m. to chat about E is for Excelsior! The Indie Bookstore Day event will also feature another Minnesotan author, Stacey Potter.

So, are there any additional books in Pesek’s future? “I grew up in Northfield, Minnesota, so I’d love to do something like that, but I’m sure it’s probably a couple of years down the road,” Pesek says.
