The Bark Park offers indoor fun for dogs of all breeds.

Lose the leash and let your dog run free at The Bark Park, Minnetonka’s newest indoor dog park. With more than 3,000 square feet of open play space, your furry friend will surely be fond of this escape from the blazing summer sun.

The Bark Park celebrated its grand opening in March, and was created by cousins Greg Banko, Mindy Thompson-Banko, and Bob and Kim Roach. “We actually started putting the business together at a family holiday dinner,” says Thompson-Banko. In addition to being the only licensed indoor dog park in the Twin Cities, The Bark Park also offers day-care services.

The indoor facility serves Minnesota’s unpredictable weather patterns well. “There are many breeds, like greyhounds and bulldogs, that are affected in extreme climates,” Thompson-Banko says. For just $7 a day or $150 for a 30-visit pass, your dog’s tail will be wagging no matter the weather.

Update

Minnetonka’s The Bark Park is no longer open. If you’re still looking for an indoor spot to play with your (small) pup, try Minnetonka’s Indoor Zoomies, an indoor dog park for dogs under 30 lbs.
