Festival of Nations

Discover more about the world and embrace the rich cultural diversity that the globe has to offer. As the longest running multicultural festival in the Midwest, Festival of Nations will collaborate with more than 90 ethnic groups to create a unique experience that celebrates heritage and provides the community’s immigrants with the ability to express their stories through cuisine, performances and exhibits. First Avenue Exhibit

Celebrate the musicians who made First Avenue and 7th Street Entry the legendary rock ‘n’ roll venue that is the heart of the Minnesota music scene. Explore five decades worth of sounds and stories on this landmark club through the lens of music. All ages. Prices vary.

Arboretum & Audubon: A Day of Birding Walks and Workshops

The Minnesota Landscape Arboretum and the Audubon Society partner for a day of avian fun and education. The event will feature presentations, workshops, nature walks and book signings featuring noted naturalists and authors Jim Gilbert, Stan Tekiela, Matt Schuth, Alan Branhagen and the Audubon Society’s expert on bird habitats and native plants, John Rowden. 

National Public Gardens Week

Minnesota Computers for Schools Computer Donation Drive

Earth Day is the perfect time to do some spring-cleaning and get rid of your old technology! On Saturday, April 27 Minnesota Computers for Schools is hosting a computer donation drive – drop off your old computer equipment and put it to good use in the community.

MCFS refurbishes and reuses all donated equipment. The refurbished equipment is placed in schools and educational nonprofits throughout the state.

The first 100 people to donate a computer will receive a free beer coupon to redeem at the Surly beer hall.
