The Hennepin History Museum hosts a
presentation at 6:00 pm on Thursday, May 21st, 2015.
Yards hold more than grass. Urban geographer Ursula Lang of the University
of Minnesota brings us on a cultural exploration of the meaning and evolution
of yards and the domestic landscape. From
the early 1900s, through the 1950s, to the suburban, urban, and rural yards of
today, Lang will cover the pertinent sociological and historical issues from
front to back. Read more about “Fireside Chat: Landscapes of Home: Minnesota Yards Past and Present” with Ursula Lang
