Join us for the 2nd Annual ‘Shout Out Loud’ Suicide Prevention and Resource Awareness event! Our main goal with Shout Out Loud is to normalize the conversation about suicide prevention in our community and encourage participation in local wellness resources. Our goal with Shout Out Loud is to normalize the conversation about suicide prevention in our community and encourage participation in local wellness resources.
This event will be family-friendly with a focus on mental and physical wellness activities for all ages to enjoy. Think of a backyard carnival with fun games, local bands, food trucks, raffle prizes, an art sale and more! Our activity booths will be sponsored by local Minnesota health clinics and businesses with the goal of enhancing a child’s or adult’s ability to deal with stress. We will also have several other areas at the event geared towards creative and expressive arts like painting, music, karate, comedy, and more.
The net proceeds this year will go to The PrairieCare Child and Family Fund, a charitable non-profit organization established in 2016 in the Twin Cities. Their purpose is to support mental health innovations in education, services and research. They have granted over $180,000 to Minnesota schools! The grants are to help create sustainable education programs for district and program staff to better identify and work with kids who may be struggling with poor mental health.
We would love your support and collaboration with this exciting community event and to help us SHOUT OUT LOUD!
