After a long, snowy winter, we’re ready to spend time on the lakes. We asked Scott Karo, owner of Anytime Fitness clubs in Excelsior and Chaska, for tips on getting ready for bikini weather. Here are his top two:
1. Stay hydrated. Drinking water helps flush your system, and as a bonus, it keeps you from feeling bloated. It also keeps you feeling less hungry.
2. Add weights to your workout routine. Muscle burns more calories than fat. The more muscle mass you have, the more energy your body needs to complete the day’s activities, and the less fat you have.
